Mimic Available on NetGalley

April 05, 2019

Calling all NetGalley members!

Are you out there? I need you! Why? Because Mimic has been released into the world, and it's time to embark on the quest that most indie authors find challenging: getting reviews. Ah, yes, those elusive reviews. We love them. Crave them. Seek them as if they're buried treasure, frantically unearthing each one and holding it up to the light with a wild cry of "Yes!"

Gasp! A review!

Okay, it's not quite that dramatic. But reviews are definitely hard to get. And they're important. We need them for feedback, helping book lovers decide whether to purchase our work, and attracting libraries and booksellers. Short of hounding our beloved readers, options are limited.

Enter NetGalley and Kirkus Indie to save the day. I used them for Gambit and found them super helpful. They're also super expensive (insert harrowing scream from my bank account). But thanks to my amazing father and a close friend, I was able to fund the efforts for both. A Kirkus review is currently underway (fingers crossed for quotable stuff).

Even more exciting, Mimic is now available in the NetGalley library! The title is all set up for requests. I'm looking for readers and bloggers who will post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and social media. Check it out if you're interested, and don't forget to vote on the cover!

Thank you!!
